The Little One Is Cute When He’s Eating
Deep in the heart of the jungle, where the leaves rustled in the wind and the birds sang their morning songs, a tiny monkey named Kiko was getting ready for his favorite time of the day—mealtime!
Kiko was the youngest in the troop, a fluffy little ball of golden-brown fur with big, round eyes full of curiosity. Though he was small, his appetite was anything but! Whenever it was time to eat, Kiko was the most excited monkey of all.
One sunny afternoon, as the troop settled on a wide tree branch, Mama Lulu, Kiko’s mother, brought him a fresh, ripe banana. The little monkey’s eyes widened with excitement as he reached out with his tiny hands, eagerly grabbing the fruit.
The older monkeys in the troop watched and chuckled.
“Oh, just look at him!” one of them said. “The little one is so cute when he’s eating.”
Kiko peeled the banana slowly, his tiny fingers working carefully to get the peel just right. He didn’t like messy food—he liked to take his time. Once he had the banana just the way he wanted it, he took a big bite.
“Mmm!” he squeaked in delight, his cheeks puffing up as he chewed.
His little tail curled in happiness as he munched away, his eyes sparkling with pure joy. Some of the older monkeys giggled at the sight of him.
“Look at his little cheeks!” a young monkey named Tobi laughed. “He looks like he’s storing food for winter!”
Kiko ignored them and continued eating, enjoying every single bite. When he reached the last piece, he made sure to chew extra slowly, savoring the sweet taste.
Just as he finished, Mama Lulu handed him a juicy mango. Kiko’s eyes lit up again. He grabbed the bright orange fruit and tried to take a bite—but as soon as his little teeth sank into it, mango juice dribbled down his chin.
“Oh no!” he squeaked, wiping his face with his tiny hands. But that only made things worse—the juice got all over his fur!
The troop burst into laughter.
“The little one is cute when he’s eating, but even cuter when he’s making a mess!” an older female monkey giggled.
Kiko pouted for a moment, then looked down at the mango. He had an idea! Instead of trying to eat it like a banana, he dug his tiny fingers into the soft flesh, scooping out bits of the sweet fruit and licking them off his hands.
“That’s one way to do it!” Mama Lulu said with a smile.
As Kiko continued enjoying his snack, a butterfly fluttered nearby, attracted by the fruity scent. The little monkey, now covered in mango juice, watched the butterfly curiously. As it landed on his nose, he blinked in surprise, his face frozen in the funniest expression.
The troop laughed even harder.
“Oh, Kiko! You are the cutest little monkey when you eat!” one of the elders said.
Kiko let out a giggle and tried to catch the butterfly, but it flitted away. He shrugged and took another bite of mango, happily finishing his meal.
With his belly full and his heart happy, he climbed onto Mama Lulu’s back, letting out a content sigh. She licked his sticky fur gently, cleaning him up just like a loving mother should.
As the sun began to set, casting a warm golden glow over the jungle, the troop watched little Kiko snuggling against his mother, his eyes drooping sleepily.
“He’s not just cute when he eats,” one monkey said softly. “He’s the cutest little one, always.”
And with that, the jungle settled into a peaceful evening, with little Kiko dreaming of his next delicious meal.
The End.
